Isro made a history with successfully launches 36 OneWeb satellites into orbits from Sriharikota
Indian Space Research Organisations’ (ISRO) launches into the intended orbits on Sunday (October 23). This 36 broadband satellites in its heaviest rocket LVM3-M2.
At 12.07 a.m., the launcher blasted off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center’s second launch pad in Sriharikota. It is the first multi-satellite mission to low Earth orbit (LEO) and carries LVM3’s biggest payload (5,796 kg). LVM3 entered the market for commercial launch services on a worldwide scale.
The rocket successfully deployed 36 OneWeb satellites into a ring-shaped low Earth orbit at a height of 601 km. Around 75 minutes after the rocket lifted off from this spaceport, all 36 satellites were launched into their orbits.
Sunil Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, former ISRO leaders K Sivan and A S Kiran Kumar, and others watched the launch from the Mission Control Center.
Somanath, who is also the Secretary of the Department of Space, described the expedition as “historic” and gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi credit for his support of the operation.
