Cabinet Ministers Of India In 2024

1.Nirmala Sitharaman:
Since 2019, Nirmala Sitharaman, an Indian economist and politician, has held prominent positions in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She is currently the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Corporate Affairs in the Indian government. She has been a member of the Indian Parliament’s upper house, the Rajya Sabha, since 2016. She previously served as the representative for Andhra Pradesh from 2014 to 2016. From 2017 until 2019, Sitharaman held the position of 28th Minister of Defence, making history as the first full-time female minister to handle both the finance and defence ministries and India’s second female minister after Indira Gandhi.

2.Subrahmanyam Jaishankar:
Indian politician and diplomat Subrahmanyam Jaishankar was born on January 9, 1955, and has been the government of India’s 30th Minister of External Affairs since 2019. Since July 5, 2019, he has been a member of the Rajya Sabha and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Previously, from January 2015 until January 2018, he was the Foreign Secretary. After Natwar Singh, he is the second diplomat to be named India’s minister of external affairs.

3.Piyush Vedprakash Goyal:
Piyush Vedprakash Goyal is an Indian politician and chartered accountant who serving as Minister of Commerce and Industry since 2019. He also served as Minister of Textiles and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He was elevated to the Cabinet Minister position on 3 September 2017. Currently a Member of Parliament for Rajya Sabha from the state of Maharashtra, he is also the current Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha. Goyal was elected as member of 18th Lok Sabha Representing Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency.

4.Ashwini Vaishnaw:
Ashwini Vaishnaw is an Indian politician who was both a businessman and an IAS officer. In June 2024, he is sworn in as the third minister under Narendra Modi.
He formerly held the positions of 39th, 35th, and 2nd ministers, respectively, of railroads, information, and broadcasting, and electronics and information technology, starting in 2024. Since 2019, he has also served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Odisha, where he represents the Bharatiya Janata Party. During the 22nd cabinet reshuffle in June 2024, he was assigned the Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Railways, and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

5.Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia:
Since2024, Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, an Indian politician, has held the positions of Minister of Communications and Tenth Minister of the North Eastern Region’s Development. From 2020 until his victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he served as a member of parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing the state of Madhya Pradesh. He served as the Madhya Pradeshi constituency’s representative in the Lok Sabha from 2002 until his loss in the 2019 Indian general election, and he has been a member ever since on June 4, 2024.
