Australia Beats India in under 19 world cup final

India fell to Australia by 79 runs in the U19 World Cup final, denying them the opportunity to create history in Benoni, South Africa. India would have won a record-tying sixth time as U19 champions if they had prevailed. Hugh Weibgen’s Australia, however, had greater heart and tenacity to decisively defeat the Indians in the top match and take home yet another ICC trophy. India, needing to score 254 runs to win, was bowled out for 253 runs, with Adarsh Singh hitting the highest with 47. Australia defeated India by 79 runs thanks to three wickets apiece from Mahli Beardman and Raf MacMillan.

Earlier, in the ICC U19 World Cup 2024 final at Willowmoore Park in Benoni, Australia scored 253 for 7 in fifty overs. Australia’s top scorer, Harjas Singh, amassed 55 runs from 64 balls, while the best bowler from India, Raj Limbani, claimed 3 wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs.
