We observe Kargil Victory Day, also referred to as Kargil Vijay Diwas, on the 26th of July every year. On this day, the valiant Indian army drove the invaders from the neighboring country of Pakistan out of Tiger Hill as an integral part of “Operation Vijay”. We observe the occasion for commemorating the victory of India over Pakistan in the year 1999 in the Kargil War. We lost more than 500 army men in the battle in Kargil that lasted for 2 months.

History
The formation of Bangladesh took place in the year 1971 when India and Pakistan were involved in a conflict that year.
